Ruben Targets Olympic Glory

Ruben Targets Olympic Glory

New Derby signing Ruben Zadkovich, who was last week called up to the Australian Olympic squad, which means he will miss the start of the season, believes the Aussies can win an Olympic medal.

'We have a tough group but that's international football.

'We all want a medal and I think we have the combination to get on that podium.

'I'm just looking forward to seeing everything and supporting the other Australian athletes.'

Zadkovich was taking in the Evening Telegraph.

The further that his nation goes in the Olympic Games the more matches he will miss for us at the start of the Championship season, and although I think the Aussies will do well to win a medal you have to admire his optimism, besides what's the point in competing if you don't believe in your ability!

We will, he wont be our first choice right back anyway, that is if Jewell has signed him to play there, which he probably hasn't, he will have a midfield slot in mind I suspect.
